This study funded by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (AKDOT&PF) examined how best to allocate resources to unstable slopes. The study gathered information on the existing programs for managing unstable slopes, reviewed which programs were more and less successful, and recommended guidelines for a more effective unstable slope management program. Steps for implementing a successful program are included for agencies interested in implementing similar programs.
